Song lyrics- "I see the blood in your eyes, I see the love in disguise. I see the pain hidden in your pride, I see you're not satisfied. And I don't see nobody else, I see myself, I'm lookin' at the Mirror on the wall, here we are again. Through my rise and fall, you've been my only friend. You told me that they can understand the man I am. So why are we here, talkin' to each other again?" These lyrics are from the song Mirror by Lil Wayne(feat. Bruno Mars). These lyrics really speak to me because it talks about how much pain he's in pain and wanted to be recognized and understood by others and thought that he would be accepted by those who knew him but he was wrong. He told himself that people would understand him and be able to be around him, but then finding out that he was wrong. So he turns to himself and asks why this keeps happening and why don't others accept him. I find deeper meaning behind what I interpret here also. I also see it as life and society today. People have to tell themselves they'll be okay, they'll be liked, they'll be wanted if they act a certain way and then hopefully be able to be themselves for once and explain everything that's happened to them but then end up getting turned down and judged for opening up. People in this society have turned self entitled, judgmental, and cocky. That's our society and probably always will be because everyone's too scared to be their actual selves thanks to all the judgment and hate from others about being your own person.
