News reading 16- ICE raids towns all over on Saturday and Sunday for immigrants. They chose major cities to go to and went to known immigrant communities. There were a few cases where ICE was turned away in homes because they didn't have warrants. I don't agree at all with what ICE does, unless there's a legit a cause for their doing. IF an immigrant is out and about not paying their dues, breaking the laws, not following what citizens should be doing, then I understand ICE going in after them. There could definitely be calmer and more appropriate ways to handle things. But, if an immigrant is living here, doing everything right, not doing anything wrong at all, there is no reason for ICE to come after them. Even if it is over the dumbest things, such as a parking ticket. Citizens all over get parking tickets, don't stop completely at stop signs, etc all the time. ICE can't go around arresting immigrants for things as small as that. I feel as though there should be an actual cause and reason for why ICE comes after immigrants. They should be able to live in the United States freely, without fear of ICE. Especially if they're doing everything right. The rules and systems with ICE need to be changed and reevaluated, it isn't cool what happens behind the cameras and news articles. Not everything is always told when reading from an article.
